Turbosound loudspeakers equipped with Klark-Teknik DSP

The newly announced iQ Series of loudspeakers from Turbosound has been equipped with Klark-Teknik networking and DSP to create what the brand’s parent company, the Music Group, is calling ‘acoustic integration’. The system allows communication between the loudspeakers, the X32 and M32 digital mixers and personal monitor systems via the company’s Ultranet standard.

The four-strong range of active enclosures (plus two subwoofers) also offers a number of modelling presets intended to recall ‘10 of the world`s most iconic loudspeakers’. The models comprise the iQ15, iQ12, iQ10 and iQ8 two-way enclosures, and the iQ18B and iQ15B subs. All of the cabinets are pole-mountable with 35mm sockets, and are driven by Klark Teknik Class-D amplifiers.

Also new from the manufacturer is the Liverpool range of small to medium format line arrays, comprising three models.

The TLX43 is an 800W trapezoidal two-way bi-amped enclosure loaded with two 4-inch woofers and a 1-inch compression driver, and incorporating a 110-degree horizontal x 10-degree vertical dispersion waveguide. The TLX84 is rated by Turbosound at 1,800W, and comprises two 8-inch woofers and a 1-inch HF section with 110-degree x 10-degree dispersion. Finally, the TLX212L is a double 12-inch band-pass subwoofer claimed to deliver 3,200W. All three cabinets are constructed from birch plywood and include integrated rigging hardware.
